Overview

The TMS Certification Course offered via Neuro-Mod Inc. and accredited through McMaster University provides an in-depth exploration of transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and repetitive TMS (rTMS). The certification course is designed for clinicians, technicians, researchers, and anyone requiring theoretical and practical knowledge to perform TMS and rTMS. This comprehensive course includes 6 hours of online tutorials and a two-day in-person program that combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on training in the latest neuromodulation techniques.

Participants will:

  • Gain an understanding of the physics that underpins TMS
  • Explore clinical and research applications of TMS
  • Learn the technical skills needed to perform safe and effective TMS and rTMS procedures

The course covers essential topics such as:

  • Motor hotspot identification
  • Motor threshold determination
  • Neuronavigation
  • Patient safety protocols
  • On-label (e.g., drug-resistant depression) and off-label (e.g., chronic pain) applications of rTMS
  • Advanced techniques such as paired-pulse TMS and TMS-EEG integration

Admission to the course is on a first-come, first-served basis and is limited to 20 participants.

Once capacity is reached, applicants may be added to a waitlist for future offerings.

Cost

$3,000 + $390 HST  = Total $3,390 per person

Includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner on both training days.

Cancellation Policy

Participants who cancel 15 or more days before the course start date will receive a refund minus a 10% administrative fee.

Cancellations made fewer than 15 days before the course start date are not eligible for a refund.

Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email.

  • Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email and are considered effective on the date they are received.
  • Participants who do not attend the course and do not provide notice (“no-show”) will not be eligible for a refund
  • Participant substitutions may be permitted before the course start date, subject to approval and fulfillment of any course eligibility requirements
  • Requests to transfer enrollment to a future course offering may be considered on a case-by-case basis and are subject to availability and administrative approval. Additional fees may apply.
  • We reserve the right to cancel, postpone, or reschedule a course due to low enrollment, instructor availability, or circumstances beyond reasonable control. In such cases, participants will be offered either a full refund of tuition paid or transfer of registration to a future course offering. Neuro-Mod and McMaster University are not responsible for reimbursement of travel costs, accommodation expenses, or other incidental costs incurred by participants
