Heimbecker Cup April 5th, 2024

The pucks drops this Friday night at 7 p.m. for the 21st annual Heimbecker Memorial Cup at the Morgan Firestone Arena in Ancaster. Undergrads will once again face off against a team of grad students and faculty. This is far more than just a hockey game for students, faculty, staff and alumni in the Department of Kinesiology. The annual event raises money for the Joan Heimbecker Memorial Scholarship and Bursary and Interval House Hamilton. The game also keeps a promise made years ago to honour the memory of grad student Joan Heimbecker, who was murdered on campus by an ex-boyfriend.
